The complex of ecological object Barycz includes an ecological path. Our visitors may see some familiar places, which are presented as an example to emphasize the main ecological problems caused by rubbish.
The ecological path consist of:
- The Trashers house - where the household wastes are revealed. There are potential waste materials in each room of our house. How can we sort them? Do we know where to throw them away? What can we do to make them recycled?
- Hoardings - where the stages of recycling process are shown in interesting way
- Waste sorting station - which is open for everybody, who would like to be acquainted with the sorting process
- Tree trunks - inform how long does the decomposition process last
- Maps - localization of the places, where sorted litter and overdue drugs can be left.
A word about the Barycz landfill.
On the municipal Barycz landfill site operates a modern plant. It's task is to dispose wastes according to European standards. The plant includes:
1. Municipal landfill, which is 11,00 hectares in area and has a capacity of 2 million m3
2. Barycz waste sorting station, with its capacity of 20 000 tons a year
3. Container compost facility, which capacity is 6 000 tons of feedstock
